About Yard Robot Guide
This site exists because buying a yard robot is confusing — and most "reviews" are written by people who've never touched the machine.
Who runs this
I'm a homeowner in Ohio who got tired of mowing. In 2026 I bought a Mammotion Luba 3 AWD 1500, set it up myself, and put it to work on my own lawn. Everything I write about that machine comes from actually using it — the good, the annoying, and the "why does it do that."
For products I don't own (yet), I do the next best thing: deep research across manufacturer specs, independent reviews, and owner forums, and I tell you exactly which claims I could verify and which I couldn't.
The rules here
- No hype. If a $6,000 snow robot has reliability problems, you'll read about them here — not in the marketing copy.
- Specs translated. "RTK-GNSS positioning" (Real-Time Kinematic — Global Navigation Satellite System) means "it knows where it is within an inch." I'll always give you the plain-English version — see the glossary for every term.
- Honest verdicts. Every comparison ends with who should actually buy the thing — and who shouldn't.
How the site pays for itself
Product links on this site are affiliate links — if you buy through one, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It doesn't change what we recommend. Full disclosure here.
What's coming
Right now this site covers outdoor yard robots: mowers, snowblowers, and pool cleaners. Down the road, we're planning a second phase covering indoor robots — vacuums, mops, and the like. One thing at a time, done right.
